New Secretary of Defence assumes duties at MOD

The newly appointed Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Kapila Waidyaratne assumed duties following a ceremony held at the Ministry of Defence today.
Waidyaratne was accorded a customary welcome upon his arrival to the Ministry and was received by Additional Secretary P.N Panditharatna.
Waidyaratne, a former Deputy Solicitor General was appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence by the President.
