Mahinda rejects ruling, to appeal before Supreme Court

Parliamentarian Mahinda Rajapaksa has rejected a Court of Appeal ruling on his cabinet and has decided to challenge it in the Supreme Court.

Rajapaksa's office said that his lawyers will file the appeal first thing tomorrow morning.

The Appeal Court has issued notice and an interim order against Mahinda Rajapaksa and his Government, preventing them from acting as Prime Minister, Cabinet and Deputy Ministers.
